Department of Chemistry came into existence with the introduction of science classes at the degree level in 1979 and it is one of the pioneer departments in Physical Sciences where maximum number of science students is nurtured with overall development of students. Department has well qualified teaching faculty and non- teaching staff. It has well equipped laboratories and makes students well equipped in the subject to meet the latest requirements. Department of chemistry has brought laurels in all spheres of life and brought name and fame at the national and international level in academics, management, social works.
