Establishment – 1970

The Department of History is among the oldest department of S.V.S.D (PG) College,  Bhatoli. The courses offered by the department are affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The vision of the History department is to produce academic and professional leaders to strength the region and the country. The department normally acquires the latest books and journals for the college library where students can make the maximum use of them. Tutorials form an integral part of the teaching method in the department.  Historical map is also made to the learning process of the students. Since its inception the department is doing great job of putting efforts to achieve the academic goals of the students. Department has regular faculty members having specialization in Ancient Indian History, Medieval, Modern History.
